Reindeer herding

Step into the world of the reindeer and get a close-up look at everyday Sámi life.
This herding experience gives you a rare opportunity to witness how reindeer husbandry works in practice.

Together with Aslak, you’ll head out to the grazing lands where the reindeer roam.
The exact experience depends on the season, the weather, and the movements of the herd, just like it does for real herders.
You’ll learn how to read tracks, understand the reindeer’s annual cycle, and what it takes to live side by side with these animals for generations.

This is a genuine and peaceful experience, designed for small groups and guided by nature’s own rhythm.
