We recommend dressing warmly and according to the weather – especially in winter.
Wear multiple layers, preferably wool, and don’t forget a hat, mittens, and sturdy winter boots.
During lavvu visits and overnight stays, there will often be a fire and reindeer hides, but it can still get cold outside.
If you don’t have suitable clothing, we recommend renting winter gear from Thon Hotel Kautokeino or Ailo Matki & Tourist AS.
Several of our experiences include simple refreshments or traditional Sámi meals, such as bidos (reindeer stew) and coffee brewed over an open fire.
Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary needs (vegetarian, halal, etc.) – we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Our guides speak Norwegian, English, and Sámi.
We adapt our storytelling and communication to suit each group and age.
We have experience engaging with children, youth, adults, and international guests alike.
We tailor each experience to suit different age groups. Most of our activities are suitable for children, but please remember that winter adventures require warm clothing.
